Move, walk and breathe the way your body was designed to.

Pain and stiffness are rarely about the spot that hurts. They're about how your whole body has learned to move around it. I help you find the patterns keeping you stuck — and give your body a way back to easy, confident movement.

Most approaches ask where it hurts. I ask why.

When something aches, the body is clever — it quietly shifts the load elsewhere. An old ankle sprain changes how you walk. A held breath tightens your shoulders. Over time these small compensations become your default, long after the original problem has healed.

I look at how your whole body moves together — your gait, your feet, your breath, your posture and your movement patterns — and spot the movement patterns that are getting your way, that you can’t feel yourself.

I personalise movement, use breath as biomechanics, and teach you to understand and re-align yourself rather than create dependency.

This is especially helpful if you’ve already seen a healthcare professional, had investigations or been given a diagnosis, but still feel like your body isn’t quite working as it should.

Why it Works

Very few practitioners look at walking, breathing and whole-body movement as one connected story. I do. That combined lens is what surfaces the patterns a single-discipline approach tends to miss — and it’s why clients who felt they’d tried everything often find a way forward here.
Around 70% of us carry some form of breathing dysfunction without realising it, and it influences everything from posture and pain to sleep and anxiety. Reading your breath alongside how you move gives us a far fuller understanding of what your body is actually doing.

Hello, I'm Verity.

I’m a yoga, gait and breath specialist, and I’ve spent years helping people understand the way their own bodies move. I’ve worked with more than 10,000 clients — from first-timers to my oldest at 78 — taught classes of up to 200 people and led retreats abroad. In 2008, ES Magazine named me one of London’s top three private yoga teachers.

What I care about most is simple: helping you move with confidence, so you can get on with the adventures in your life.

Who this is for

This work tends to suit you if you recognise yourself in one of these.

Finally stop living with a persistent ache that keeps you up at night worrying about the future, that you know is connected to your whole body pattern

Return to activity after an injury, without feeling overwhelmed and confused about how to rebuild the strength, whole body movement patterns with support

Stop guessing why your (or your clients) pain points get worse with your exercise via a PRI, nervous system or somatic lens

Finally understand why you feel breathless or breath feels harder than it should and you know its affecting your mental health

Please note: this is not a diagnostic service and isn’t suitable for acute injuries or medical conditions needing urgent diagnosis or treatment.
